I think every google workspace got “Gemini” in now. My workplace does at least. And now somebody turns it on in our meetings often. Results are so bad that it has a hard time understanding the name of the company and our products (which often contains the company name)

One thing I caught my brain doing while typing quickly. Born on glass and on a real keyboard, and that makes no sense is typing “peice” instead of “piece”. Weirdest part is that this word is also French (pièce), and I don’t do that in French.

New issue I found using an English/French bilingual system keyboard on iOS. if you type something like "2 and 2.8", even in the middle of a paragraph in English, it autocorrect to "2 ans 2.8" It thinks that I did not want to type "2 and", but instead wanted to say "2 years old" in French.

I've taught many people new to gamedev from kids to adult, from a practical educator lens I believe the main difference people credit to kids learning faster or easier than adults is they aren't yet consciously trying to avoid temporarily looking like a beginner at something adding alt text to help

Bellini Foto seems to have finally updated the datasheet for their C-41 amateur processing kit. www.bellinifoto.it/wp-content/u... It now contains instruction on the processing, precise the preheating should be done dry, and usage of stabilizer. And count depletion in rolls of 36 frames, not 24!

Discovered that when the battery in a Canon EOS 650 (the original film one from the mid 1980's) runs flat, the camera just locks up, mirror up, and will act dead. Putting a new 2CR5 battery in there will bring it back to life. But for an instant it looked broken

The meta quest pro controllers are overall bad products. They do self track wonderfully well!! But: - They aren’t stable. - They take forever to boot. - They only charge on a god aweful stand - They are stupidly expensive - They seems to loose tracking when auto switching with hand tracking
