How can we look our supporters in the eye when we don’t honor our convictions? How can we be looked at as movement leaders if aren’t willing to battle the storm for justice? How can they trust us when we say we stand for something yet our actions show that this isn’t true?

If we all stood together the blows would be less detrimental. However, too often, we bend the knee to our collective oppressors in hopes of maintaining our fleeting slice “freedom”.

It’s not leading with integrity if we quit when it gets hard. The reality is in the fight for freedom we will lose and at times we will lose hard. As we develop or strategies we must ask ourselves what are we willing to lose to do what’s right?

SNCC, SCLC, national churches and religious organizations, civil rights and labor organizations, and stars of the Movement supported the Alabama Voting Rights Movement. We commemorate and thank them for their work, leadership and sacrifice.

Gender justice must include ALL people. Trans men are often erased from conversations about gender-based violence, but they, too, experience oppression, discrimination, and systemic barriers. Their stories deserve to be heard, their lives deserve protection, and their existence demands respect.

In 2023 alone, at least 26 trans and gender-nonconforming people were reported killed in the U.S. – and many more cases go unreported.

We've been everywhere from Vernon to Aliceville, Gadsden to Jasper, Ragland to Calera, Guntersville to Huntsville, and so many other amazing places. And we're not finished yet! We've still got three weeks of rolling around the state providing supplies for any who wants them.

This work can not be done for our communities but in collaboration with them. It is our shared lived experiences, academic accolades, and professional know-how that will see us through. We can no longer remain siloed.

We have to do more than shout into the void. We have to co-create sustainable community care networks. We used the term co-create intentionally.

Trump's presidency will be filled with incendiary executive orders, political talking points, and tweets. Our organizing strategy cannot merely be reactionary to his administration's vitriol. Gone are the days of huge grassroots rallies followed by no after actions.

As an ever increasing stronghold of fascism spreads its colonial roots it is imperative that our strategies to empower our communities center the most marginalized not merely in rally rhetoric but also in principled direct action. Now is the time we turn social philosophy into radical action.

We love love! While we strive every day to meet folk's needs the ultimate goal is joyous, pleasurable lives. Life, nor organizing, can always be about the struggle. Today we take time to celebrate joy!

Now, more than ever, we need to look out for each other and stay informed. We’ll keep doing everything we can to provide accurate information and critical health resources, and we’ll keep building strong, supportive communities where truth and trust can thrive.

At Yellowhammer Fund, we believe that everyone deserves access to accurate, evidence-based health information and resources, free from misinformation and prejudice. We stand firmly against the spread of medical myths and the dangerous consequences they carry—especially for marginalized communities.

What’s more alarming is his scientifically baseless claim that Black people have different immune systems. This narrative is not only false but also deeply rooted in racist stereotypes that have harmed Black people. It deepens distrust in medical systems and widens the health disparities.

RFK Jr. has a long history of spreading misinformation about vaccines, pushing false claims. His rhetoric endangers lives by undermining public trust in health measures. When people are misled about vaccines, they’re less likely to protect themselves, which puts entire communities at risk.

Our communities have always been the ones to fight back against injustice, and we will continue organizing, mobilizing, and demanding policies that protect our rights—not strip them away.

This decision by the Senate is yet another example of how our government prioritizes political games over the safety and well-being of the people. But we refuse to be silent.
