I’m not wholly against kids in pubs, but parents should sign a contract that after the second ear piercing whine or screech they’ll take the little darlings home.

True story: once turned down a date with the Italian supermodel Carla Bruni. She clearly never got over the disappointment as she later married the President of France Nicolas Sarkozy. Yes okay it was in a dream, when I was about 19 (she would’ve been 21 at the time), but it’s true nonetheless.
