I was raised in a more feminist leaning household, and still with all that our parents taught us, plenty of harmful external messaging still got through to me and my siblings.

100%. And while I understand...even if they don't learn this from their family, men have been socialized this way since their teens through direct & indirect messaging, & it's harmful to them & to women. It's important that it's acknowledged so change can happen for those that want to change.

It's been very slow, but I can see the minor changes. The Fast & the Furious movies are a great example too. I walked out of the first one as a college student because of the blatant objectification. I haven't seen more recent ones in entirely, but they seem to do a bit better.

I definitely need the distraction. I'm lucky my kids keep me busy. It's when I go down the Google & reddit threads & have appointments my anxiety & overthinking gets super bad. I started having a panic attack on the way to the hospital last week- making my mom drive on Monday.

Hi Nan. Biopsies are on Monday. They want to test 2-4 places. I wouldn't be so terrified, but the lymph node in that armpit is also enlarged and that's never a good sign. I'm so scared, so nervous, especially since I'm a single mom. My kids have already been through too much. 😭
