Nuts are beginning to crack under pressure. From NYT
“Bondi, her voice rising to a shout, dodged the question of whether the government will prioritize enforcement of restrictions on birthright citizenship by telling reporters that they should feel “safer” because of increased border enforcement.”

Science is the antithesis of any faith. It is not a cult or a religion that worships any king or deity. Science is merely seeking truths through factual evidence with the aim to learn the way things are. It is applying a time tested heuristic or rules to arrive at discoveries or knowledge.

So this is the first entry in my log that I started to keep:
Support House Candidates
Swings:
1. NY 17 candidate Cait Conley dem to contest republican Mike Lawler. Lawler wants to take on Gov. Kathy Hochul, a Democrat
Check out Cait Conley, a democrat and a vet. Vote!

So Cait Conley, both a vet and a democrat, is contesting Lawler’s seat for NY17. She looks and sounds like someone who can win over independents. Fight for our democracy!

Hilarious! Another case for, “Careful what you ask for.”
No a civil war is not the way out of this mess. Only civil disobedience and voting. And a little self inflicted wounds for gop goes along way! Want another laugh? Look up Trumpery in the dictionary. Fits like a glove

Ha ha ha. These guys are now interested in saving the planet? How ironic. EV hater yesterday. EV lover today. Maybe this could be a reverse psychology play to save our democracy. Make them adopt all things they are against today tomorrow.

Wow. I think we have devolved as a society when we are wanting to send a message that will probably be ignored vs. witnessing a tragic moment in history. I absolutely deplore what is going on, but to turn away to send some message will be viewed as head in the sand or complacency.

Meanwhile:
A group of investors led by Elon Musk has made a $97.4 billion bid to buy the assets of the nonprofit that controls OpenAI as reported by NYTimes.
And the 2024 budget of U.S.A.I.D. Is $63billion.
Maybe he should just fund U.S.A.I.D. More Teslas and Starlink to developing countries.

Unfortunately that is sad for the climate and likely will have little effect to changes things other than to create a conflagration emotion. What would have a better effect would be for Canada to hit the US where on this that Trump does not want tariffs. Crude and gas.

Of course he has it backwards and there is some evidence of effect on brain size but there seems some conclusions that the effect is transitory. I trust the nih on the studies cited here.

Yeah. Like turn even the basic google Gemini language model on auto to fact check and post as reply to every misinformation. Even thoughAI language models are not perfect, they do a really good job of fact checking Musk on the on recent budget bill posts.

Agree. However, painting with broad brush likely will not be the case. A few will change hominids and few is what is needed. We have learned that the margins win; not the whole

Am on my second Tesla. Had a 2020 m3. Range fell 7% but didn’t feel it as daily driving is about 75 miles. And seldom drove over 220 miles in a single day unless on a long road trip. With home charging and daily driving under 200 miles per day, I don’t see a 7-10% loss in range an issue 4me. Cheers

Try Mustang MACHe as an alternative to Tesla Model Y. Price and performance and pretty good technology. I hate Elon to beat the band. But I love my Tesla as it is by far the best value in an EV out there on all fronts but one, a maligned CEO. And the are leading in autonomy and safety. Try ford
