While I’m not a HUGE fan of Craig McCracken’s work, all of his shows have a similar strength on how they’re designed. Design wise, I wouldn’t believe all these shows were from one person. That is something to appreciate.

The reason “My Leg!” works so well is because there’s more to the episode then just the catchphrase. The jokes and slapstick and voice deliveries work in or out of context (Unlike some cartoon episodes) and Fred is just a fun and optimistic guy.

25 years ago, Disney and PIXAR released “Toy Story 2”. The only other movie that I absolutely gush over more than this is “The Lion King”. Wonderful animation, Memorable characters old and new, smart emotion and humor and fantastic music.

I actually rewatched “Toy Story” a few days ago and it’s still a timeless work of passion. It’s brilliantly told story with emotion and humor, breathtaking and stellar music and lovable and unforgettable characters, it works as a groundbreaker as it did 29 years ago today.
