There was another recent post of yours in which reposting yet another post of yours appeared truly fitting, but I feel if I don’t do it now, I might miss the opportunity forever so here goes: bsky.app/profile/pmge...

Too bad I couldn't chat with them more about it, but hopefully there'll be next opportunities.

I don't know if any of them is/are on this platform, but the five composers whose new (and some old) pieces I heard during the Music From Japan concerts the past two days were all very good. I actually knew three of them from before, but it was great to meet the two new faces.

…right before the bedtime, the power is back on. 😮‍💨 Here is hoping it will keep this way through the high wind for the next few days. But man 6 hours passed so quickly… 😬

I meant it *was* an honor, as the work is done and album is out. The label Leaf Music has put out the performance footage of the work (link below), but I hope you can check out the album itself. It is beautiful and really thoughtful. youtu.be/l8m8waZ6-0c?...

Great. Having never heard him speak English, I was struck by the lucidity and crystalline phrases he spoke with. He answered all the questions so patiently and thoughtfully. There was this no-nonsense honesty to his compositional process, and it was so touching to hear the exchanges.

I feel it is all interconnected with what is happening in society at large, including but not limited to education, life, political spheres, etc..

Driving yesterday to the south of the state reminded me of the years we worked at the same institution together. Who knows what will happen when more and more democrats are increasingly disillusioned by all that is happening? Even my relatives are sounding gravely disappointed and that’s a huge 🚩

…I am tired of seeing these arguments that if a skill doesn’t lead to a job immediately, then it’s pointless and you’d be better without it.
