I have today resigned from the Labour party and joined @greenparty.org.uk Labour has lost its moral compass and we need a bold, eco-socialist vision to take on the far right. Statement from me 👇

Another Labour Cllr defects to the Greens, @liamshrivastava.bsky.social “…If you’re a socialist and you’re in Lewisham - or anywhere else - I would encourage you to do the same and join the Green Party….we can build a positive, greener…and more progressive future for this country.”

Nigel Farage looking deeply unamused as Angela Rayner accuses him of offering "billions more in unfunded tax cuts for the very richest while he marches to the lobby in the House of Commons to vote against higher pay for the lowest earners"

Bluesky is dying?! Really? Repost if you're still actively using Bluesky and not posting on X. www.spectator.co.uk/article/blue...

So upsetting to see Angela Rayner doubling down on the planned PIP cuts in #PMQs. Does she truly believe that cutting this lifeline for thousands of Disabled people is what she was elected to do? Or is proximity to power simply worth more?

The fact we are making ourselves more dependant on US military assistance, not less, is fundamentally insane. We cannot rely on the US as a security partner, how obvious can that possibly be before the UK security establishment takes it in?

Can’t decide if Mark Rutte is weird or stupid www.theguardian.com/world/video/...

@yvettecooper-mp.bsky.social @jessphillipsmp.bsky.social @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social @teamlabouruk.bsky.social Keir Starmer has completely failed to understand the British people. We do not want to see a convicted felon, rapist & warmonger honoured with a State Visit.Trump is not welcome here!

Look if Labour are going to behave like war mongering Trump appeasing bigoted authoritarian anti minority Tories then I will feel absolutely zero guilt in voting for a different party next time who are actually still on the left. No point in voting tactically if you just get more of the same.

Unprovoked, without ‘imminent threat’, Trump attacked a country without consulting Congress Impeach him

You DO realise the whole #bettertogether Campaign of 2014, has since been exposed as a SERIES of demonstrably-proven lies? Do DO understand this? Not just ONE lie, several. Tomato Ketchup is £3.99. Scottish Gas Bills are the highest in Europe.

NATO could just drag him across the street to The Hague. 🤷‍♂️

I got lifted on an anti-apartheid demo outside the South African embassy in 1983. I guess that makes me a terrorist now.

They’re planning on building a detention center for migrants in the middle of the fetid swamps of Florida. If you think this is something new, the first internment camp they sent me and my family to in 1942 was a barbed wire prison called Rohwer. It was located in the swamps of Arkansas.

In any other walk of life, it’s called a bribe !!

We are deeply concerned by the UK government’s use of terrorism legislation to repress Palestine Action, a non-violent group not unlike those Keir Starmer once defended as a human rights lawyer. Write to your MP to take action ⬇️ https:/ palestinecampaign.eaction.online/opposeproscription

If you think Netanyahu is going to honor a ceasefire with Iran you’re a fool. War keeps him in power and out of prison.

Yes, wind turbines do kill some birds. But do you know what kills far more? Buildings & windows Cats (especially feral) Fossil fuels and climate change If you care about wildlife, the worst thing we can do is keep burning coal and gas. #climatecrisis #auspol www.lyrebirddreaming.com/post/yeah-bu...

One union is controlled by only one country. And it is not the EU.

AOC is quite on point with this.

Meet the NEVLAs – (Never Voting Labour Again) It’s not Reform UK Ltd voters Starmer needs to entice back to the Labour fold, they were never in it. There’s another group he should be worrying about! By David Goff @yorkshirebylines.co.uk

Lots of anti-20 mph speed limit propaganda in the billionaire controlled UK media from time to time. Remember this next time you read their lies and propaganda

(🚨) CONFIRMED: Donald Trump Lied America Into An Unprovoked War and Broke His Peace Pledge to His MAGA Base For No Reason, Then Lied to All Americans From the White House East Room in Creepy Echo of George W. Bush "Mission Accomplished" Announcement

A very long rant about poetry. youtu.be/vAfWhvIJQzk?...

I'm coming to the reluctant conclusion that a large percentage of Americans are both weird & downright nasty. Reluctant because I know some who are absolutely lovely but they seem to have collectively lost their minds

Did you know that you can buy trees 🌳 from the Woodland Trust very cheaply? They are very small (so quite cheap) but healthy specimens and all the ones I’ve bought have grown into magnificent trees. (woodlandtrust.org.uk) (Perhaps the Woodland Trust in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 should be on Blue Sky?)

The children conrinue to take part in The Wildlife Trusts #30DaysWild. Week 2: Move like wildlife and get active outdoors. They tried wildlife yoga poses: eg heron, snake & frog. And they made treasure boxes out of old egg cartons, filling them with beautiful & interesting things they found.

Netanyahu cannot afford peace, calm and the catching up of his ghosts with him. He absolutely needs the continuation of the froth of war to cover his behaviour in Gaza, West Bank, his miscalculations, and his corruption. Like Putin - he needs war in order for him to stay in place. Part 1:

Trump just said that both Israel & Iran “don’t know what the fuck they’re doing.” He’s dead wrong. Netanyahu knows exactly what he’s doing. Netanyahu cannot afford a ceasefire… …any pause/calm and his ghosts (Gaza, corruption, bombing damage, costs, West Bank) will catch up with him.

Like every workplace, it seems Parliament is grappling with the negative consequences of the Supreme Court ruling and EHRC advice on sex and gender. Far from creating ‘clarity’, we are now seeing clearly that they are making day-to-day life difficult and humiliating for trans people. 🧵 ... 1/2
