If you need to feel better, you should call the PepToc hotline. It’s kindergarteners who give you a pep talk. I remember doing it during the lockdown and it was good for my soul. But the phone line is free and they’re in need of funds to keep running it. www.peptoc.net/hotline

Honestly, I love intergenerational friendships. We don't have enough of them. I stopped by a 90 year old woman's house to drop something off at 9 last night, and she opened the door with "come in, quick, the neighbours will talk if they see I keep having young men over at these hours!"

OT1H, we wound up ordering delivery for supper because by the time we were enough on the ball to start what we'd vaguely been planning on, it would've been a pretty late meal, and we failed to scrape together the brain to make something else. OTOH, that left us the time/energy to make soy eggs.
