Surely this has already been thought of, but I think after seeing just how much corporate profits increased during Covid is the reason he’s removing the preventive forces of disease. He and his corporate buddies intend to usher in the next pandemic to profit off of plague.

It’s slow burn by the modern attention span’s standards

I’m running that right now and I absolutely love it!! It’s genuinely changing my perception of my own taste in the game, I really like that the focus is just the dungeons themselves

If you could recommend a game that is also a fantasy dungeon crawler but with better rules, what comes to mind?

What are some systems you’d recommend that offer similar gameplay to 5e but with better rules?

At least in my circle, I see the opposite problem: GMs too afraid to ever let PCs die! I feel a player’s freedom to lose is the most fundamental freedom they have. Not siding with the GMs you’re talking about, just venting about the ones around me

It is great to establish common ground but i really liked the way this video put it- do all the session 0 stuff online so that your group can jump into the fun of playing!

I ran a game for my zookeeper co workers! Interestingly, no druids in the party, but there was a penguin. I incorporated themes of conservation into the campaign

It’s a big week for me! I’m back at school now so I will be playing in our d&d club again, as well as starting my spring campaign! I’m starting with In The Shadow of Tower Silveraxe, then I plan on home brewing an adventure that is based on the PC backstories to wrap up the campaign.

I can’t tell if this is genuine advice or a shitpost… but it would quell my worries about my plots making sense

Before I head back to school, my friends and I are finishing up our run of The Lost City! They turned a dungeon crawl into a revolt and I’m here for it.

Potentially unpopular opinion, but I don’t think this is a bad thing. Yes, fighters do feel bland, but I still think that the fantasy of being a fighter is intact. Not all classes need worldly power, and I’m ok with that power going to the wizard. All the more reason to have martials defend them

This is the kind of discussion I’m looking for. Are there more resources like this, books, blogs, other bsky users?
