The Splatoon 3 update is interesting and points to a few things: 1) Nintendo isn’t done doing free upgrades for their games on Switch 2 (Beyond the 10 we got) 2) Nintendo isn’t necessarily forcing new content to require a paid upgrade. Both good things in my opinion!

I would love to hear more about third-party games getting free Switch 2 updates. The only ones we’ve seen are all paid, with the exception of Hello Games announcing one for No Man’s Sky just now.

I’ve reached the halfway point of Doom: The Dark Ages, and I think I’m ready to say this is my favorite of the trilogy. Combat, movement, pacing…it’s all so finely tuned. Exceptional game!

Doom: The Dark Ages is (to no surprise) epic in its first few hours. I’m really enjoying the unique, heavier feel of this game compared to the past two. Not ready to call it better than Eternal (yet!), but I’m really enjoying it. @bethesda.net
