I keep reflecting on community arts structures formatted as business for survival/sustainability.

If the strength of our relationships is how we survive, how we start to prepare to survive is by building networks of care, community, getting connected to our neighbours and our communities. So having meals together or just knowing your neighbours household make up can be preparing. We can do this

It is entirely possible to change or transform our world. We can absolutely transform our social world, and make our communities safer, loving, rooted in social justice. we can address the climate change ravaging the Land and waters and non human animals. We can do this. Believing we can is key.

Y'know sometimes things linger and drag on in unexpected ways. Other times they pop into your presence with a surprising speed.

A small example of why it pays to explore shops other than your local art supply shop sometimes. Sometimes you find the same things vastly reduced in price, sometimes....fantasy tufts. Not that I was looking for anything...but Fantasy Tufts!?

Today was the sort of day where all the things you've been talking about for months converge at once.

I was really pleased at the matching in this image.

I’m amazed how long I’ve been on Facebook and how in that time, no one has come up with a viable alternative for a social media that prioritizes keeping up with friends, family, and colleagues. As much as I like this place, a microblogging platform will never fill that void.

My partner: *quoting an annoying character humorously repeatedly through the day* Me: "My condolences to your newly incorporated personality trait" Later, partner: *not quoting the character, but now riffing in that character's voice, an essence of* Me: "The condolences were real."

I don't even know how to participate in the internet anymore. I miss previous iterations.

I think sometimes people like to repeat the same words over and over in hopes that they can convince themselves into the lie they're speaking. Fake til you make it, hypocrisy style.
