Shocking. Now you just have to bring back debtor's prisons, and you have a pretty large population of potential "workers."

So, you're saying the idea could work, then? πŸ€”

I'm close to your age, probably. πŸ™‚ Used to be called Jap Scrap in my part of the world. Now, Made in Japan means quality. Such is the way of the world.

No problem ✌️ Some jobs will never go back to industrialised countries. Even China is starting to outsource jobs to poorer neighbours. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

It could all work if the US reintroduced slavery, though. πŸ€”

Even if you worked 24 hours, it is still only $6 maximum a day, genius.

Wow, you sure you're not MAGA with that attitude? As I said, focus on fixing your own country first. The rest of the world can look after itself without your "help", thank you very much.

Focus and get rid of your own bad government first, eh?

We are heading to the NYC protest today to help reinforce the message. Hopefully the hundreds planned get good attendance and media coverage. Watch for elected reps who vocally support and attend. handsoff2025.com @indivisible.org @50501movement.bsky.social @50501newyork.bsky.social

Indeed. South Africa had its own equivalent of Trump (Jacob Zuma), who faced much stronger resistance, even from his own party. And physical fights in Parliament. The majority of the Democratic Party functionaries are being terribly limp-wristed over this.

The advanced age of actively maintained languages is evidence of their sustainability and quality. Many β€œmodern” languages are quite old: C is 52 years old, Python is 34

Critics complain that the COBOL programming language, widely in use in the SSA, is old and outdated. This is wrong. While COBOL’s origins date to 1959, it’s an actively maintained programming language, with an updated standard published by the International Standards Organization in 2023.

Sadly, I've been blocked (first time). Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to understand "Live with it, we've all had to." And yes, you live with the consequences of what you, your group, religion, or nation does. The fact that you find yourself in "baddie" camp for the first time doesn't excuse it.

Oh my, going for the stereotypes, eh? How predictable. Unfortunately for you, South Africa does not classify people by race anymore, but personally I'd classify myself as being coloured, or what you would called mixed-race.

No American sanctions or bombs throughout all the past decades just killed the "bad" Germans, Vietnamese, Iraqis, Afghans, etc. - nation-state-level conflicts, unfortunately, are the ultimate collective responsibility, you are your country, and the country is you. Live with it, we've all had to.

Now you show the same mentality as Trump, expecting people to thank you endlessly for just doing the right thing. πŸ™„ Fact is, I'm South African. Unlike a lot of other countries, we are not beholden to you. And you "not all of us" excuse will not fly with me.

Exactly what I asked myself of your post.
