Just wait until you hear about the negative levels...
But in general the levels below ~200 are unlivable. All the pollution, the gases, the chemicals, the grime, goes down. That's why there are only slugs.
And rancor sized alligators in the sewers.

Also fun fact, the lower levels of Coruscant are uninhabitable and fucking scary.

Nope you're right, and this discrepancy is felt through the whole galaxy. That's why the Republic caused the Separatists to form in the first place. Sith only had to use the momentum for themselves afterwards, while Palpatine also causes corruption on the inside.

Have clinical depression, so yeah, very often. Although I wouldn't say I wanna explode, more like running into traffic or steer my car off a bridge.

Combine actions with words and you become the MVP.

That's probably because that's a widespread behavior of actual exsisting cults. Not necessarily left-wing coded, but using certain tactics to convince the followers that they're the true freedom, while combining that with stripping actual freedom, like Jim Jones did with Jonestown, a real cult.
comment in response to

Exactly what I mean. That's just how a cult operates, using every kind of leverage to sell their own ideologies. In this case, the cult is written to an extent that even the player can be influenced, believing Joseph Reed was right all along, but he really just used national tensions as leverage.

Also regarding apocalyptic prophecies never coming true, technically speaking the bubonic plaque, which was arguably quite apocalyptic, was prophecy of some religious texts, bible and Qur'an, and it eventually happened. It doesn't mean the writers of these were right, it was just a coincidence.
comment in response to
post
He just got lucky. Doesn't mean he's right. Plus, since he probably also listens to the news, he uses the fear of the preppers for his own benefits. He only uses vague descriptions of his "apocalypse". Of course, when shit hits the fan he would say "see, I was right, continue to worship me".

Hope that makes sense, I have problems explaining stuff.
comment in response to
post
Let me use another example. Just because some Nostradamus prophecies seem to have come true, doesn't mean he wasn't right. Everyone can say vague stuff that might happen. Hell, even the Simpsons have their "prophecies", but with the amount of episodes something similar is bound to happen.
comment in response to

But he wasn't right? In all endings the atom bomb would still be dropped. There are global tensions the whole time, no matter the players actions. If you actually believe that he was right, he succeeded to brainwash you, the player, into believing his cult social engineering.

No, really. I can't remember the last time I was happy.

Of course instead of, you know, temperatur regulation, my stupid ass brain thinks of either a burning plane or one at the bottom of the ocean. Very healthy.

I'd still recommend watching some, especially if they're see no parallels to today's events. Especially productions made by German public-service channels with subtitles or the French channel Arte. I say this because the amount of false/played down information from US documentations is insane.
