What are people supposed to do? They've tried several months in a row now. How is this still the process?

Sure look, we'll be fine. But I guess sometimes you hope that people will be sound, and then they show you that they really never had the capacity to be sound at all.

When we went sale agreed it was all "they're so happy to sell to someone in the area, they love that you're local". Now it's "sorry they want a ton more money so F you guys" I guess.
This all happened a short while ago so the initial anger has passed, but boy do I feel angry about it all.

The sellers had the estate agent email us as a "courtesy" and he told us they'd seen prices were up 5% so they'd have to raise the price accordingly. Then they relisted the property for over 10% higher. We asked if they wanted to discuss with us. They said no, open market. The greed.

Add to that a general feeling of "does anyone even care about some of the stuff I'm trying to do to make the world a bit better" and I'm very much in need of a laugh, some joy, etc.
It's not all bad, it's really not, but I've a migraine today so it's harder to see the good through the pain :/

I guess I hope they don't screw around with these new buyers so much?
Now we're back to square one, having to reapply to everything, get all our documentation back again, etc. And who knows what houses we missed out on while being strung along by this crowd. It's.... not great friends.

And now, finally, we've heard that they've gone ahead and accepted an offer from a neighbour's family, without even showing it again this time round.
We feel disappointed and angry and used, they wasted our time so badly and they don't even care.

We were so patient with them, agreed to a long closing, were prepared to give them plenty of time to find their new house. They could have contacted us to go sale agreed again. But no. They chose to use our price to drive up their list price and go open market again. Like a slap in the face.

Housing market is very grim and the folks we went sale agreed with last year have absolutely jerked us around in all sorts of ways that make me wish unhappy days upon them. We're no longer sale agreed, they pulled out, then relisted this year at our sale-agreed price, which was well over list.

Said they'd cancel the order because at this stage we've already gotten him a strap from elsewhere. Immediately got an email saying "sorry we couldn't cancel your order" so now we're back playing the phone waiting game. I thought Garmin support was supposed to be really good?

This evening's panic is brought to you by a vanishing bus and the next (less good option bus) being bloody late

I had to build myself back up physically, but also mentally - each failure made it harder for me to feel brave enough to try a new drug, to get my hopes up, to approach it with an open mind, to not be afraid of side effects. #iphaConference2025

Not only was it mentally taxing to keep trying and failing to get better, it was also rounds of awful side effects, cost, additional impact to my life. I ended up in A&E because of one of my failed drugs. #iphaConference2025

It took me literally years to get access to the only med that has ever helped my migraines. I had to try multiple other meds first (each for months at a time) and prove I had tried and failed, before I could even apply to be allowed to have this one. #iphaConference2025

As a #migraine patient, at least my condition is not life threatening, but it is so disheartening to research, discover all these new treatments available, and then find that they're not available in Ireland, despite a long history of use and success in other countries. #iphaConference2025

Luna is my brother-in-law's dog and she is adorable, but what I find hilarious is that while I can't stand my face covered at all, she actively loves to shove her face into a gap to sleep. She's got her whole nose shoved into the gap between the chair and my side and is delightedly snoozing away.

Chance of knitting some dog hair into this jumper have exponentially increased since Luna decided that this is absolutely the only spot she wants to be.

Oh yeah. I find the same with the likes of JK Rowling too. If you're not super online it's possible to have totally missed what's going on with her.

Right?! Why am I supposed to be shocked that the lasagna ingredients made lasagna? If they somehow turned into a pain au chocolat then sure, hit me with the "did you know".
