Do we know if they're counting the no kings protest? Didn't see anything in the link.

Its actually bigger than the 3.5% threshold. Alt National Park Services is reporting 12.1 million people. bsky.app/profile/altn...

I can't see this thing being cheap at all. The rumored price is anywhere between $500-$800 depending on the model. It checks out since a normal ROG Ally 7 is like $650. Its going to need to be a helluva value proposition at that price.

Makes me wonder if they have another console will it be produced by Microsoft proper? Or will they try what Valve did before by having a bunch of third party steam boxes?

Its important now more than ever before that people organize and protest. I'm over here trying to take notes from the French. They raise hell at the drop of a hat.

Its easy to point to what's happening here in the US, but places like Germany had historic gains for their hard right parties earlier this march. Canada's hard right was also poised to win pre-Trump. Immigrants and black/brown people are being used as easy scapegoats.

Its really just killing liberal democracy right now. Social media is a plague for factual information. The idiocrasy of Trump has stopped the extreme march rightward temporarily worldwide, but not really eliminated it. People really need to engage with politics now more than ever before.

For real. No amount of shit head racists threatening violence like their dear TACO leader is going to stop it. I'm thinking Saturday is at least going to be as big as April. Its warmer and people are just as if not more fired up.

The fact that Dems are massively overperforming in historically red districts is telling a tale.

Even the one issue he was still winning on with immigration is now tanking hard. People aren't liking what they're seeing in LA.

20%-30% is a safe bet. Nixon left office in disgrace with 20-30% support from the GOP base so it lines up. The majority of Americans don't support him right now. Independents make up a majority of voters these days and have since the early 2000s. He's underwater with them by double digits.

Its one big nothing burger. They did this the last time too and nothing came of it. Same for the ones who wanted to protect the Tesla's that they were never going to buy 🤣🤣

Between this and stronger gun control it could do wonders right now. But that requires sanity in politics which we don't have right now.

It really shouldn't be to defund them but to demilitarize them, ban any form of warrior style training and the "killology" nonsense. End Qualified Immunity, institute a buy-back program for all the military grade equipment sold to police from the army over the years etc.

I really hope so. I'm cautiously optimistic for the future.

Toys to use on black and brown people mind you. Nothing more scary to a MAGA clown than an armed black man.

The most self-aware game announcement ever.

There's been quite a few of those types at this Summer Game Fest already.

Yeah some of them aren't super well done, but some others looked okay. Towa looked alright as a rogue-light.

That basically sums up every thread on DTG at the moment. I've been getting downvoted left and right for daring to speak positively about the changes. Even been called a gambling addict for not minding no crafting lol.

Honestly man lets not be surprised by this. Trump already showed us who he was. Lets believe that he was always the vile piece of shit we all already believe that he is.

A build mind you that already has very little thought behind beyond "equip synthos then slide at an enemy and tap the melee button to win."
comment in response to post
There are other interesting options like the hoarfrost and horn class exotic with bolt charge, or Thunderclap etc. It isn't that theres no options its that people just want another flavor of the same Consecration build.

The live services push killed the single player output. I get that games take more time to make these days, but maybe its time the industry has an honest conversation about that. We have multiple games including Astrobot that have done well as double-AA titles.

I'm hoping for something exciting from Sony's state of play today. I'll take anything at this point cause this gen has felt like nothing more than extension of the last one. 3 years of the pandemic didn't help, but their first party output has been anemic otherwise.

It's criminal that we've never gotten a remake.

At this point I'm still wondering if the 45k price point for the R2 is still on the table. I assume the first units won't be base price that they make.

That being said I would be none too happy myself. AI is a plague in creative fields and education.
comment in response to post
I've been told that AI translators aren't necessarily great at good translations still, especially when it comes to slang. They still need an actual human being to go over it. Makes it almost feel redundant to have an AI doing instead of having a human being do it.

Same plus I like the look of the new area. Story that has to do with the nine is also usually good.
comment in response to post
I still read /r/DTG myself, but I'm just on break until like the final two weeks of right of the nine. I've approached some extreme burnout with the game as of late. Hoping the new expansion pack might fix things.

I just wanna know where those numbers came from. 73% of who? MAGA? Of course they're going to slob on the knob of anything dear leader does, but that doesn't make it universally popular like he's implying.
comment in response to post
I know that feel. They've kept threatening us with this for a few years now to get people to quit on there own. I assume my entire dept is on borrowed time since the tariffs are really impacting IT.

He kind of thrives on negative grifting these days. Probably go in one ear and out the other.

Windows 11 wouldn't be so bad if they didn't stop at every turn to try and force Copilot down our throats for everything. AI is the gift I never asked for, yet I can't seem to slide it away into a closet to be forgotten. Every update now has me redownloading or reinstalling something.

I mostly just have a gaming laptop now for the good indy stuff that never comes to console, and do all most of my gaming on PS5 and Switch.
comment in response to post
For me PC gaming is basically all high end. If you aren't aiming for the top 20-30% a console and some used physical games will save you more in the long run. Especially if you wait till the end of the gen-you can get all kinds of used games and sales on a budget.

I don't think that's getting talked about enough right now is the price of parts. New GPUs are coming in hot right now, and then the scalpers swoop in and make it worse. Consoles have come such a long way in terms of power/performance and cost that its really lucrative as a turnkey system.

Dead internet theory come to life. Its no longer people writing long boring emails that no one will read, but AI bots writing long boring emails that no one will read. Now we just need the bots to sit in meetings for people and we can wrap it up for humanity.

Will watch the video later, but dollars to donuts its probably the same song and dance we've heard rumblings over since Pete Parsons cars. Maybe it would be better at this point if Sony took over.

Not surprised. Its a good update. Just wish the weapons from the warbond were better, but the addition of weapon leveling and perks was pretty nice.

I'm not sure what's going to happen now. We need an actual conversation in society and government for ethical concerns surrounding what AI could do to the jobs market. Instead they seem to be trying to give them free reign for the next 10 years to not be sued/regulated by anyone. States included.
comment in response to post
That's also one of the things that they're working on with the current VA strike.
comment in response to post
Anything that AI can solve isn't going to put them ahead. Its going to put them out of a job. We can see this now in tech on a limited basis and its only going to get worse. The real thing AI is going to kill is entry level work, which is what new grads need to get their foot in the door.
comment in response to post
Not only a waste, but adding to the problem. Cheating in education has exceeded epidemic levels because of these AI chat bots.
comment in response to post
Its just a poor attempt to bring President Biden back into the picture so they can use him as a boogie man since they're running out of ammo on everyone else.
comment in response to post
The whole thing just feels like an extremely poor attempt to claim "SEE!!! BOTH SIDES!!!?" in order to draw attention away from Trumps declining mental state. It makes zero sense to worry about a man's mental state who's no longer president and will probably never hold high office again.
