As 3DCG, primitive, but technique leverages a great feature of #Softimage (wish you were here) — texture mapping in camera space, using standard camera UI to adjust pos/rot and (here it comes) shift image plane (great for matching BG paintings with off center or out-of-bounds vanishing points).

I think I'm finally hitting my stride with my artwork. I'm kind of reconfiguring how I show my work (including comic stuff). I got good advice to just keep posting more character art, so I'm going for it. I know some artists do split projects at the same time, so I think that's what I'll be doing.
