Blocking somebody is not a big deal and doesn't have to be a huge symbol of meaning that requires circumventing to get closure. It can simply be "this relationship is closed". And we move on from that, on both ends of it.
We treat blocking, and being blocked, with more significance than it deserves

Sorry, shortness of words have made my intent misunderstood.
A block can mean that. It can also mean so many other things, such as simply wanting to protect the self from exposure to things one doesn't wish to see or engage with on the regular.
