#tdih 1946, SCOTUS ruled against Jim Crow segregation on interstate commerce in Irene Morgan v. VA. In '44, when bus driver told Morgan to surrender her seat, she refused. She tore up arrest warrant, tossed it out window, & kicked the officer. More on this case & many more dating back to 1841 ⬇️
