Sure you already know about this and it isn't really LLMs and neural nets, but just in case I really like this one for explaining machine learning www.r2d3.us/visual-intro...

Ya just saying no is probably easiest but I definitely find it hard as junior person as well. I would say the other big skill is assessing feasibility. Like there's lots of initiatives that go no where, so if you can sniff that out early on and not invest that's a huge time saver

Ya it seems weird timing. Especially after investing so much money.
Will be curious to see if there's a shift to just doing agreements with scholars who pretty much just want the data and don't need a TDM platform π€π½π€π½π€π½

Also somewhat relatedly and absolutely no pressure but @drtlwagner.bsky.social, Emily Maemura, and I are starting a project exploring the experiences of data librarians so if you would be willing to chat with us that would be amazing! Just lmk & again no pressure π

That's awesome and great to virtually meet an alum!! We're currently trying to expand our data courses specifically for the MSLIS & atm I'm developing a Collections As Data syllabus so hoping to have more future data librarians π₯³!! But definitely open to suggestions if you have them ππ½
