A good friend of mine wasn't surprised in the slightest back when I came out for this exact reason, haha.

When it comes to personal style and attire, I'd like to think "unprofessional" is usually just prude talk for "awesome." Those folks just can't grasp how awesome any given thing might be, haha.

It's a short animated sci-fi (mostly) anthology series, so all the episodes end up being wildly different from each other. I think it's worth reading the brief episode descriptions in Netflix and seeing which ones you may want to check out, at least!

Like, the first episode was just a music video. It felt like a forced advertisement for a band everybody's already heard of. And another has MrBeast playing a purveyor of enslaved bloodsports, which, like, considering he's a super exploitative content machine in real life, was, uh... a choice.

I had one recently, near dusk, where I politely told the doorknocking rival-ISP-company guy I wasn't interested twice. He then got offended when I declined to tell him what I pay my current ISP, so I just shut the door and watched him storm off through the peephole. I try to be nice, too, but oof.

This is pretty much how I've been feeling lately, too. It's so good to have community on here.

To be fair, some of those old bugs were super funny. Jackie eating with four wiggling chopsticks in one hand, clubs filled with T-posing NPCs, pedestrians ascending to the skies, and more, haha. But quests breaking and the game crashing all the time made it a super rough playthrough.

The first one nails it, I think.

I think a good place to start might be picking a genre and a single story element or detail, and then expand outwards from that very small starting place, to see whether or not you end up vibing with your own idea. If not, you can always just pick something else and try again.

Ugh. Yeah. This is a part of why I'm most interested in reading stuff by other trans folks, now, to thwart the chance of that particular unfun surprise rearing its head.

I actually might have something, but it's under the word count and I'm not sure it's what you're after; 5.6k words, a story about a trans woman witch whose late mentor had been in a lesbian relationship with another witch, and her own budding relationship with her non-binary friend?

It's so good! I saw it yesterday and it's still all I'm thinking about. The music throughout the movie feels like its own character, too. That scene in the middle had me crying.

Probably one of those giant domes that plays ads, like in Vegas.

An extremely friend-shaped affront to less-friendly amphibians, maybe.

Scales are weird as hell. My home one'll say a different number depending on what part of the floor I put it on, haha.
