You dismiss and undermine any issue that's not directly connected to the west. The genocide in Sudan gets ignored. Women rights in Iran get mocked. The islamophobia towards Syrians is cartoonishly evil. The danger queer people are in isn't even being reported on

I used to be the "the west is the cause of all our problems" person. But the truth is the region is full of fascists, and the focus on the west is what a lot of nationalists use to take away attention from their own crimes.

Even the way the chapter starts, it directly tells you there is a god. And that helps in you doubting if Takano really is behind it all because now you have a confirmation that there's supernatural forces at play.
The way this chapter is paced is so well done

Usually in these stories there's 2 extremes where it's either all man made, or nothing is explained because supernatural nonsense. Echo does the latter.
I'm satisfied with Higurashi taking a 3rd approach to this and making it more interesting

I am speculating most of the disease is bullshit.
We know the hive thing obviously isn't true, and the only characters showing any symptoms are those close to Takano.
There is a disease, but the level 5 symptoms are artificial. At least I think

I didn't understand at first why so much of the chapter was focused on saving Satoko, but of course it's actually to show the humanity of Hinamizawa, so that the ending becomes even more fucked up.
None of them are even aware what was gonna happen, not even Rika knew

Joking but I'd love to play rpgs and tcgs with people. Unfortunately they aren't available here, so most people only vaguely have an idea how yugioh plays and that's it

Sorry for yapping about my own queer theory in the morning.
In conclusion there's more to anti queer bigotry than just homophobia. We need to acknowledge that things like biphobia and enbyphobia aren't just minor inconvenience, it is serious and violent bigotry that harms us

There is also the sexualization and sexual abuse. As people who are bi, ace and trans experience it at high rates. While also having their identities framed as inherently deviant and perverted.
None of that is a coincidence. Those who are fluid are having their autonomy denied.

There's a lot of focus now on controlling children from expressing queerness. Which goes into denying the fluidity. The child can't be fluid, they must be influenced and/or experimenting.
Because being fluid can't be an identity. So it becomes a moral failing

It is a silent bigotry because acknowledging directly that you can exist outside a binary is acknowledging your own potential to overlap with the other. That is to overlap with queer people.
That's why the bigotry focuses on denial, of both identity but also bodily autonomy

Imagine they finally introduce Corca's wife and she has a harem full of men and women

His wife is probably doing it too as far as we know. Everyone in this world is having unprotected sex 24/7

Obsession with the escapists and event aspect of superhero comics

At a time when superheroes are losing their supporting cast, Ms Marvel was all about the civilian characters. We got to see the people around Kamala grow and change. Characters like Nakia, Zoe and the Khan family are just as important as Kamala herself

That's why it feels like sabotage since nyx writers were forced to use her and the new x-men event seems to be the same situation.
There's writers who'd write a new Champions book or a new Ms Marvel book but Marvel isn't greenlighting it

Yeah, she has a few reoccurring villains. On the top of my head:
The Inventor
Discord
Kaboom
Doc.x
And those ice ninjas (they're more like joke characters)

Yeah I saw the representative character but he's not playable or even in the story from what I understand. I think his body and alt skin looks good but his face is ambiguous

Housamo especially is weird because they do a good job (for the most part) of having a diverse pool of mythological characters, so why avoid African legends like that?
