Stop installing AI tools and models on your daily drivers and work machines. Please

Every time I bother to look at what's happening with LLMs and tools I get horrified. Nothing is so exciting that I want to participate in conversations that involved security from 15 years ago.

Vibe coding experts rediscovering the most basic software security principle of auditing anything you add to your codebase.

I've been trying to make dice.

he’s fucking lying. stop framing it like it’s a mystery

Pea decimation. Ducks for my duck loving internet friends!

I built a Playstacean!

It's time to retire the term "Karen". 😒

I felt this too much. Stop talking to me like this 🤣

Every left-leaning woman in your life is getting heavy into arts and crafts right now because they don’t know what else to do with their rage

🔐✌️ Victory for Privacy and Security in France 🇫🇷 End-to-end encryption will continue to be available in France, as the assembly overwhelmingly voted against an amendment to legislation fighting drug trafficking which required backdoors in encrypted messengers. www.lemonde.fr/societe/arti...

Please don't let my degrees, title, calm demeanor, etc. fool you into thinking you can talk to me sideways about my work, the org I work at, or general issues you have about our projects. Compose yourselves accordingly because I can get real stringent on your ass if need be.

#BadBox Android malware botnet has been disrupted again by removing 24 malicious apps from Google Play and sinkholing communications for half a million infected devices. #MalwareBotnet #Android www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/securit...

🚨BREAKING: Federal Court GRANTS motion to HALT deportation under rarely invoked Alien Enemies Act of 1798. “A TRO is appropriate for the class members to prevent the removal of the class.” WOW. Planes in air must turn around. A huge win @democracyforward.org and @aclu.org.

“When there is legitimate concern about the vast amounts of information that people freely hand over to social media companies, app stores, devices & other services,” laws that require collecting MORE data don't make sense, EFF’s @aaronmackey.bsky.social told @cnn.com.

Really enjoying this classic Sesame Street segment, two minutes of freestyle jazz riffing on saxophone factory footage

Lots of people—none of them me—have been working overtime to get this done and I love them for it.

People are officially over analyzing Lamar's performance 😅

The Dems showing up and being told with words that can't come into government buildings feels extremely performative. But maybe I'm just being too conspiratorial.

Being correct about all of this for years doesn't actually feel good.

To understand the faction leading America, recognize they think the worst, most terrifying things to happen in recent years are: 1) George Floyd protests 2) Public health treating COVID as real 3) HR saying "we've received complaints about your, um, 'jokes'" 4) Press 1 for English 5) Pronouns in bio

i can't find it now but i saw somebody earlier who was struggling with fitting their protagonists all into the same panel, and i was going to answer but i got distracted. anyway i think the key is you gotta stagger their heights properly. don't be afraid to just stack em, you know

It's wild that the same agency that was willing to take Black people's rights and instill fear to even organize a protest has lost their resolve to stand up to an authoritarian demagogue who threatens their power and function.

Let's be absolutely clear about this: Google has been itching to get out of anything equity related since it started axing it's internal AI equity groups and their projects. This isn't "complying in advance," this is Google doing what the fuck it has always wanted to do.

Pam Bondi already tried to defend this argument in Florida and lost (in a very conservative court even) but ultimately that's not the goal here. The goal is terrifying a lot of executives who were never that brave to begin with.

So the FBI could surveil & then assassinate a 21 year old Civil Rights leader in 1969, but is powerless to take any steps to stop--checks notes--a 19 year old who goes by the name Big Balls from defunding and defrauding a $6 Trillion economy? Do I have that right?

Hey Elon👋🏽 Every single person in this country deserves to know their rights. That's legal. Maybe you should brush up on our laws given the fact you're breaking them to steal American's sensitive data. PS. This video is manipulated, and I wasn't even at the event shown.

Rust 🦀 blog posts are really good but it's always titled some shit like "Ergonomic Extraction of Traits at Runtime" 😅

Pinning Down "Future Is Not Send" Errors #rustlang

Took my extra anxiety to practice Rust 🦀 and made a XAPK installer because I got tired of manually extracting & installing them github.com/zoracon/rust...

"What they are doing is illegal". So then why? Why are people complying? Where's the Dems? If I don't see mfs coming out swinging TOMORROW. The illegal line feels very empty. I know that's the point. But I'm not in Congress or can leverage political power tomorrow.

I'm not going to be a Grinch about it but I do not care about them Grammys right now with all that's happening. Like at all.

I don't think that everyone necessarily needs to learn rust. If you don't like it. You don't like it. But it's been instrumental in helping me develop in my primary languages better. And think about error handling granularly. Code will fail. I want it to fail helpfully.

I have a slight "current events induced" desire to read articles and op-eds before 2010 www.americanprogress.org/article/the-...

If you're in NYC, I recommend visiting the new exhibition "Torture Island: Past, Present, Future" organized/curated by The Rikers Public Memory Project. The exhibition is at Weeksville Heritage Center in Brooklyn. I went to the opening this afternoon. Go see it. Open Tues-Sat.

NEW: USAID source says staff are scrambling to save archived copies of US regulations before they're gone & are being actively locked out of systems, including a publicly available database of USAID documents. WIRED has built software to systematically check the status of 1,374 government domains.
