I still struggle with this a LOT.
I NEVER want to impose or insert myself. Invites are very rare for me and I always beat myself up about it like "I'm not fun nor interesting. People probably think I am creepy/weird/unattractive."
Getting better with that latter part but not with self inviting. XD

Cleared Cataclysmic in Windblown on 2nd try. XD
Got SUPER greedy on the first run after not being hit for two stages, got sloppy in 3rd stage and died.
Reeled it back some on the 2nd run and cleared it.
Not a bad hour session! :3
