I assume young. A cousin had speech problems as a kid. Got help thru school system and by teen years it was almost unnoticable and as adult you'd never know. Age, assistance, stick-to-it-ness, and outlook all matter. Try to reassure them just to keep working at it! It'll work out fine!

Like I don't care that she struggles with certain letter sounds. Or to come up with words. It just breaks my heart that it means people can't understand her so she gets frustrated. And then lashes out. Most her behavior issues right now are that.

But. She's getting help. And is making progress

My oldest could not even pronounce her own last name until the age of 8-9. It came off cute but it hurt her. Thru speech therapy she turned it around in less than a year, it was absolutely amazing, like magic...crazy great.

I had a decently severe case of transposing Ls and Rs as a kid and with treatment it mostly went away tbh, I still have a public speaking tic but that's mostly anxiety

Yeah she's got that, among a few others. And I know that with speech help/training it'll not be an issue. Idk the other shits just hitting me hard tonight. Not sure why tbh ....

I think it's just a culmination of a rough few days. But I really appreciate your comment. It does help to remember that in the long run these things can be solved.
