I had a really nice air fryer for two years, never used it, couldn’t sell it and no one I knew wanted it. Eventually I just left it out on the street with a note saying free to a good home.
That’s what I had, a toaster oven combo thing! I was probably too hasty about getting rid of it, I just could never get in the habit of using it consistently
I meant like a regular oven but I have found this particular brand is delightful in the microwave. It is raw, not pre-cooked, it’s great if you want just a few pieces of bacon.
Was pro-oven until I started throwing my skillet on the BBQ outside and stopped smelling up our house and clothes for the whole day. So basically outdoor oven, but still skillet.
This is my kind of cult! The house smells amazing and there isn’t a ton of smoke in the air or grease splatter on the stove and the clean up is super easy lol
🤯! How do you bacon in the oven? Baking sheet with a rack on it? What do you do to not spill bacon grease everywhere and delight the pets in the house?
Use a baking sheet with sides. Line with foil or parchment paper.
I use a rack for crisper bacon.
If you don't want the grease, let the baking sheet cool and toss whatever you lined the baking sheet with.
So easy clean up.
"I would prefer to have grease snapping everywhere, the cook to be uneven and have to stand by the stove the entire time it is cooking." - People not in the cult
You're about to experience a higher level of existence once those babies hit your mouth. Gentle on the cayenne and brown sugar - too much of either is not a good time haha.
I was in Costco & the husband wanted to buy the uncooked bacon. The wife said I'm not standing over a stove frying it. I butted in & told them how to do it in the oven with no mess.
Hope they give it a try.
I put the bacon on a cooling rack in the oven, makes crisper bacon.

I regret that sometimes
Toast in a literal minute. Bacon in 15.
Burgers from frozen patties to done in 10.
Genuinely, I understand preferring the oven. No shade intended to you.
But in the hot Southern summers we are loath to turn the oven on EVER.
