Been living in Copenhagen for 14yrs… fantastic place to live and raise a family. Sadly, it’s made it easier to see the decline in the standard of living in the U.K. Periodic visits to Edinburgh over that period really have been eye openers…

Visiting as a tourist, in Copenhagen, your sample is arguably skewed. Everyday *reasonably priced* food in Denmark, sourced either from supermarkets or restaurants, is invariably disappointing. Pass the remoulade.

Well, there is a certain amount of Scandinavian DNA in the North particularly, but the overwhelming number of English are mostly Anglo-Saxon. Blue eyes are prevalent in northern Germany too. 🙂

Sorry to be serious, Lewis, but look at the whole country. And the Nordic philosophy of caring, good education (esp digital), higher work /wealth taxes but lower savings taxes, sexual equality, etc., successful global business.
