the goalpost shifting here is really something
democracy is not at stake until Trump disobeys the Supreme Court itself? guess it’s important to make that distinction while he disobeys lower courts in case Schumer might be obliged to do something

Dude. The Supreme Court is already bought… This is a known. If you're hoping that SCOTUS is going to stop Donny from declaring himself King then you are gravely mistaken.
and when he's coherent he's not just failing to meet the moment, he's actively trying not to see it, assuring hayes it's not happening
the grey tusky thing with the big ears is not an elephant but an object with some elephantine characteristics
worse than biden's debate imo
Also, firing FTC commissioners is clearly and blatantly disobeying the Supreme Court! Orders from 1935 (that have not been overturned) are just as much in force as ones issued in 2025!
No shame in admitting you aren’t the one for the job right now, Chuck.
And why we are where we are today.
Dems are historically unpopular right now. They are not winning in public opinion.
This is the party I've voted for in every election since I turned 18, and I fucking hate them currently.
Their refusal to learn *anything* makes me wonder what is even the fucking point in voting for them.
FFS
Absolutely spineless coward.
total inability to recognize any role he might play in leading the opposition
he simply cannot meet this moment
So you're saying if we had never said it but set it right now the conditions would change?
Doesn't seem likely
He’s choosing to maintain whatever power he has rather than meet the moment.
Literally didn't even bother to have a plan before that.
you cannot assume people will care, even about this stuff! you have to do the work!
telling people to just sit back and not worry is the exact opposite of what I described above and a lot of people could get hurt or killed because of it
(I'm wondering if the SSA destruction will light a fire. A lot of people are going to be hurt badly in the next few weeks.) :(

Schumer is acting as if he’s facing your standard Republican administration and that’s not what we’re dealing with and the tactics have to be different
you can’t get out of this with normal politics
I worked at the same office building for about 22 years straight. There were days I would pull into the entrance and have no idea how I got there. This is where he is now. Autopilot.
He’s not doing the first one, and only vaguely trying the second one.
But he ain’t doing that
"The Republicans aren't that bad, the fever will break" might be the most devastating consequence of Democratic gerontocracy.
His basic worldview is " It's natural for Republicans to be in charge and so it's appropriate for Democrats to make sure they do well"
