BREAKING: ICE and private prison contractor GEO Group are refusing to allow Mahmoud Khalil to hold his newborn son for the first time, even after his wife flew them over 1,000 miles to visit.

We just asked a federal court to order ICE to grant Mahmoud's request for a contact visit with his family.

i do volunteer jail support when i can and they will intentionally release people at like 4am on a friday so they have to wait as long as possible for monday to get access to their meds that they “forget” to give back—last time i was there they did this with a woman who needed insulin. nakedly cruel

This is such standard treatment, sadly/actually. I was at a federal prison where they mandated women wear work boots in order to receive family visits. But they didn’t give us work boots. We had to share amongst ourselves the few pairs on site, schedule a time based on size. I kid you not.
