Deion's son is a good football player and he will be drafted, likely today. He hasn't been drafted yet as teams drafted for their highest need and some felt other QB's fit their needs better. Shedder will have a nice NFL career and it will be because of his hard work and intelligence.
Doesn’t he realize he is the reason why teams keep passing on his son. They know he will be a nightmare to deal with, always giving his opinions in tweets and interviews. Best thing he could do is step away and let the kid forge his own way, like all the other players.
What do you mean? God sat in his recliner watching ESPN coverage of the draft and is none too pleased that young Sanders was not chosen in the first round.
I don’t think God really gives a damn about the NFL draft and when his kid is picked. And if you think this is some trial of strength for your kid I suggest he go out into the world without his dad and name and see what other trials look like.
This isn’t god. They just didn’t pick your kid first.
There's good reason to be confident Shedur will be drafted somewhere, or he'll be an undrafted free agent and he'll be given an opportunity, somewhere, to show the teams that passed on him if they made a mistake - or not.
Hell get drafted. He's a good decision maker, throws a nice ball and is tough. I've never liked his antics of over confidence but someone will take a chance on him.
It’s not where you start,it’s where you finish,Tom Brady made a lot of NFL teams look very bad.
Does being picked in the first round all that matters other than the bottom line on the contact.
Time will tell if Shedeur is all that or not.
God has made Americans go a little bit nuts...you can watch a ufc fight where the two combatants batter all colours of shit out of each other and while the loser is being scraped up from unconsciousness the winner will say "thanks Jesus that one was for you".
Such words, and, what I assume is passion. Delivered not as just unjustified ebullience and enthusiasm but with language used in a way only his God could understand. YKWIM...ITTYD.
It's crazy when Deion (and Shedeur similarly), some of the most narcissistic humans with "God" complexes of their own seemingly, use God as a misdirection or excuse when something doesn't go their way. First to take credit, first to put blame on God. Truly insane work
The elder sanders is probably a big reason why his son is still on the board. Having a hall of famer looking over your shoulder and potentially critiquing every move you make regarding his son is almost too much for anybody to ask. Putting team before self is the first thing these guys forgot.
Life in a wheelchair isn’t always easy, but I’m determined to keep moving forward. I’m fundraising for an enclosed mobility scooter to stay active, independent, and connected. Every bit of help counts. Your kindness fuels my journey. Details on my GoFundMe. A share or gift. https://gofund.me/0af928df
No team wants him because in drafting Shedeur you get Deion too. He will do nothing but criticize how his son is coached and played. He’s a liability that no one wants.
They still allow minorities on X? Hmmm. Guy needs Bluesky, unless of course he does not support equality. Of the NFL also caved to the racist so maybe there's no where to go now....
I'll always have a nice chuckle about that interview where deion supposedly found God...and he kept talking about himself in the third person: "deion sanders was fornicatin'..."
I have no problem with religious people giving thanks for all of their good fortune and opportunities and expressing genuine humility and such. That's all admirable. But Prime's kind of performative shit drives me nuts.
When they find out that the God the prophets heard was actually Satan, and the Bible is his tool and they've been following Satan the entire time. Even the demons know Jesus, that's why he is in the Biblical story. Read His actual words in the Lost Gospels. Stay clear of the Biblical God.
Dude, not everything needs to be about god or part of some great plan. But I guess needing everything to fit into a grander narrative is why people are religious in the first place. Carry on, everyone.
If that isn't one of the most "You're right, but you're wrong about why you're right" things I've seen in a while...
Love how supposed "Christians" always take these scenarios as "God's teaching me to stay strong!" instead of thinking maybe God's trying to teach you some humility.
There's no possible way that the reason his kid didn't get picked was him. It couldn't be that they see him as being a problem for any coaching staff trying to coach his kid. This is God's work, not the work of an arrogant, meddling father.
People need to read the fine print on their edibles. If you see or believe that there is a magic man in the sky watching over you, please adjust your dosage.

Like father like son. 2 AS*H*OLES.
We are in big trouble down here.

I’m suggesting that perhaps the NFL draft isn’t top of everyone’s “Big Faith Issues” right now.
Sincere apologies if I’m mistaken. (At least the Rule of Draft is holding up.)
Maybe the draft isn’t what he was talking about. Regardless, it is a fine statement of faith and my statement stands on its own.
Best to you.
Game on.
Narcissists like to say “God” when they really mean to substitute themselves

Bizarre stuff

He should just focus on Colorado.
The hubris is astonishing. The schadenfreude is delicious.
I would say God made his choice as far as who is righteous or wicked in this scenario

First pick isn’t always best pick.

He’s gotta micromanage the draft for Deon’s privileged kid.
Sorry, war torn countries, the creator has other priorities.
🙄
And all those athletes giving credit to God for their TDs and those QBs who are smited with throwing interceptions.
Some people need their mythology.
Especially yours, in particular.

You need a confident QB...but not too confident
Smart but not headstrong
Athletic but able to stand in the pocket
Sanders has a big ego but I would rather see him play than let crusty coaches/GMs not let him try
