Deflating -- but clarifying -- to see even mainstream libertarians like Cowen embrace bigoted buffoons like Rufo and Hanania. Cowen has long positioned himself as a champion of immigrants. Publicly praising Rufo after the Springfield debacle is a choice.

Hence [moron]'s appearance at LPNC last year. He was invited by a handful of top party schmucks.
No I do not support Ron or Rand.
But there's a distinction between a Radley Balko or a Shikha Dalmia and a Rand Paul or a Thomas Massie.
Further, I don't know if Balko still describes himself as "libertarian." A lot of the Cato types and "civil libertarian" types have avoided that word in recent years.
Who could've known?
Oh, that's right. Everyone. Everyone knew this, except for other libertarians, and libertarian adjacent 'journalists'.

Not enforcing those laws is going to bring us a world of hurt....
Libertarianism is just MAGA in fancy clothes.
Worth reading his book to know where things are heading.
It’s the mattY’s of the world telling us hanania “actually has some good ideas” that should be harshly criticized.
Other parts are enforceable if the administration chooses to enforce them.
Cowen praised the book, too, and obliquely mocked those who condemned Hanania.
They've always been trash.
