Have just been described in an article as "distinguished" which is the point where a writer moves from "Yeah, I read him," to "Yeah, my dad reads him." :)

I'm now a lot older than my Dad was when I first conceived the notion that he was "old" (I was a little git) & I read your books, though you & your team of skilled spiders produce them at a rate that makes it hard to keep up.
I've now got my 17-year-old niece reading the Shadows of the Apt books.
Give it 15 years and we will be reading reviews like:
The book is written from a classic Tchaikovskian view point of the Other, in this case an alien scientist mediating between the factions of sentient octopusses and sashimi hungry humans living on a far away ocean planet.
I read some books that almost certainly went right over my head when I read them as a 12 year old by borrowing stuff from my parents shelves. The top of that list being Tropic of Cancer, by Henry Miller. Haven't re-read it since.
I definitely read a few inappropriate things, without lasting damage. That's where books are different to film and TV, online content and games. Things cannot be unseen, but if you don't understand the concepts, there's a limit to what even the most vivid imagination can do with words on a page.
Just wanted to let you know I've read and loved your children of time series. I've come to cherish spiders more than I fear them and have opted to respecting their space whenever I see them. One of my favorite series of all time!

Destinguished (milkshake duck)
Unstinguished (never made it)
Antistinguished (notorious)
Does that make you feel bad?

My dad does not.
It should be noted that this sad state of affairs is primarily due to the fact that my father, like UnCharles' master, is no longer alive.

why just they don't say old?
You do know that the next time we meet up at an event I'm going to mock you for being "distinguished"? 🤣
👍😃
Please keep up the work, Mr T, your books are a joy and a boon
Jeez dude, what a barbed compliment.
Thoughts and prayers.
More like "My grandad reads you." 😆
