🤣💯 If I HAD to choose it would be dude w/locs, yoga & nature lol. I'm in a CP program now that's basically built around "your brain is stuck in pain mode, let's try & change how you interpret it so it goes away," or some shit. Seems like they just found a nicer way to say it's all in your head.😮💨🤷🏽♀️
Freaky Friday, but the "It's all in your head" guy swaps with me. Watch him try desperately to hold onto that opinion while trying to get through a "normal" day. Watch me check off everything on my to do list and go out dancing.
I’ve met a person that finished med school and said this: “use logic with autoimmune decease. If your brain tells your body to attack itself you can reprogram your brain to stop doing that”. That was a big loss for me cause she was a great yoga instructor😉
None of the above. Do the work. Mitigate what can be mitigated & live life, often in the margins. Finally (very hard for me) accept my limitations, daily & for the long haul. So much I used to do easily has been taken off the plate but there is still meaningful work I can do & joy in life.
Can't we just list our preferred weapon for 'replying' to each one...? 😂
Left to right, from the top, mine would be :
Truncheon
Knife claw gloves
Pikestaff
Crossbow
Knuckledusters
Thumbscrews.
I literally stopped speaking to someone b/c they would only tell me "well, Sky Daddy only gives you what you can handle" (I'm paraphrasing but I don't subscribe to their religion)
As much as they all drive me batshit crazy, at least there is genuine benefit from being in nature outdoors to my personal mental health so I’ll go for that guy. The last one is kind of the worst. Getting tired after work is normal. Being chronically fatigued from getting up to wee is not.

“Yes I am forgetful too” can result in the loss of an eye!
"You don't look disabled to me."

That's my favorite.
Oh, and there's also "It can't be *that* bad, really".
