“The UK has now spent a decade unhappily chasing populists downhill. Leaning into voters’ concerns but with sober solutions is ultimately the only viable path for moderates. Still, I wish I was more confident it will work.”

What a time to be alive
He’ll have another great take next week as per his contract.

On first reading this is a mish mash of dodgy logic, poor statistical analysis and even poorer political strategy recommendations
Just wondered what others think
My problem with it is that it's a bit "Something must be done. This is something."
But “he is reducing low skilled immigration”
Really, carers are low skilled?
Apparently the leader of the opposition should level with the people and persuade them that tax rises were needed
But the Prime Minister cannot change people’s minds with a single speech?
Define excessive immigration?
Public services overwhelmed ?
Housing immigrants ….caravans , how does that affect housing stock ?
NHS ? Social care workers help .
Younger immigrants ? Healthier ?
Culture ? Social cohesion? Politicians weaponising fear and hate ?
