Seed is tremendous! Shamefully havenβt seen a single Joon-ho, but have tickets for Parasite this week. Mother and Memories of Murder also on my list.
Seed is absolutely extraordinary. I wish more people were talking about it, and talking about the film itself and not just how brave the process of making it is.
I'm jealous of you seeing Parasite for the first time! Try not to have any expectations going in, if you can manage it. (And see Mickeyπ)
Started off the March watching the Lethal Weapons for the first time and they averaged out to be pretty good. Liked Mickey and Black Bag, but was most surprised by Terminator: Dark Fate.
Iβm forcing myself to limit it at 4. Itβs hard to choose when I watch 1.75 movies a day on average, most of which are new. π π just assume all the Mifune movies Iβve watched in the back half of this month is on this list, as well.
Out of the 30 new-to-me titles I watched in March, there are only four βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ & ups, including the very underrated Maria and an awesome Soderbergh flick,
but it's been a great βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ Β½ month. So much worth checking out.
Finished March Around The World and my top five were
5. Umutwe WβInkuba
4. We Are Not Angels 2
3. My Neighbor Totoro
2. Red Rooms
1. My Heart Is That Eternal Rose
Throw in High Fidelity, which is one of the few movies of the month not for the challenge.
March first-watch favorites include especially Letter Never Sent, The Celebration, Funeral Parade of Roses, also Mother Hummingbird, Such a Pretty Little Beach . . . .
watched king kong in full for the first time. got scared of the kong and dino fight as a kid and turned it off. was well worth revisiting for the full experience. the truman show and fd 2 were great too
Possession (1981). Violently screamed and ejected fluids until I let it into my top 10, but I make no promises on watching it again any time soon. Also baby-faced Sam Neil was adorable.
Black Bag, Promising Young Woman, Exhibiting Forgiveness and this is kind of embarrassing to admit but, The Sting, Once Upon a Time in the West, A Fistful of Dollars, and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

It was a great movie month.
I want to be as camp as Norma Desmond when I grow up.
