Find an anti-histamine that works for you. It takes time. You need to identify the exact chemical that works for you as an individual, & it's nothing to do with brands. Also 'Hay Max' a clear beeswax based gel you apply under nose & corner of eyes helps a lot.

Just had to get a prescription nasal spray. I’ve got severe sinus problems made worse by seasonal hay fever that I never used to get. The inside of my hooter feels like it’s been sandblasted and my eyes are crying acid. Pollen can do one.

I did one of those skin prick tests and all 10 of them joined up! I have learnt to always have anti histamine cream and tablets to hand! Vinnie scratched my face once near my eye and my whole eye closed up!

The Met Office pollen alerts are very useful for finding out what’s in the air every day and figuring out what you’re responding to. Also, either loratadine or certirizine is the drug you probably need.

Being allergic to London plane trees is basically compulsory these days unfortunately. I’m not sure why, never used to be. Maybe another one of those joyous things about middle age.

Do you know what you are allergic to? Mrs G suffers with alder and birch (both now locally in decline). Grasses are my nemesis, although not to the degree they used to be. Which I’m taking as allergy karma, given my terrifying rapidly growing collection of food allergies.

Ack. Sorry to hear it. I imagine you’re already familiar with Air Matters, but we’ve found that site/app quite helpful in breaking out the different allergens, along with mapping them.
