Also, failing to address Brexit has hurt their election results, as did the limiting access winter fuel allowance for pensioners & raising the level of disability PIPs are awarded at. Labour have move too far to the right for their core voters.

Don’t forget that pensioners and low paid workers are about to hit with fiscal drag and will start paying income tax and move to higher tax band if the tax thresholds are not raised.

Yes...and the prospective Labour MP for Uxbridge @dannybealesmp.bsky.social didn't help matters. Instead of explaining to voters how the ULEZ would help improve health without affecting most drivers, he caved in to right-wing pressure and went along with bashing Sadiq Khan. Disgraceful.

The only way net zero can be weaponised like Brexit was, is if we allow the media to once again create false-equivalence between the sides of the debate (noting some will oppose it, because fossil-fuel funded turkeys don’t vote for Christmas). Cheaper sovereign owned renewables is a no-brainer.

Sovereign owned reneables. Key phrase. Argued correctly, might even appeal to some Reform types. It's a better approach for Labour than trying to out bigot Reform on immigration.
