The green-painted bike lanes in my town are next to the car lanes, not separated by a row of parking. Some difference. Nearly enough.

I would much prefer red paths. They're all mostly green in the Capital. Red would send a better message to car drivers.

Well, green is a more pleasant / friendly colour if you approach it from a color psychology POV. I much prefer the bike lanes in Lisbon than this one, for example.
