He wrote a blogpost where he referenced some things of Musk life, and then made up massive amounts of bullshit about Musk. It was so bad. With all the crazy things Musk has done, why make up shit?

So many real outlets, presumably national ones given the context, have no fact checkers remaining that you can’t even name them? That’s interesting because it’s not my experience as a national journalist.
I didn't say no fact checkers, I said fact checkers have been hit hard by layoffs.
And yes, it's fair to be skeptical - I'm literally just suffering from information overload, and wish I could at least remember the name of the fact checker I've seen on here talking about it.

You know, years ago I actually applied to DB to be their fact checker? It was also an all encompassing investigatory position. Never heard a single thing from them.
They used to own Newsweek and Newsweek got rid of their fact checkers in the '90s. Of course, that was 15 years before Daily Beast bought them but maybe they were an inspiration.
