QotW: Honestly? A co-host that will keep Chris's antics tempered. It always felt like Mikel was the adult in the room holding the show together. Episodes without him or put together by Chris were subpar. Let me be clear in saying I don't hate Chris. He adds humor and levity. But he's irresponsible.
QotW: More soundboard shenanigans! Bring back Micky Mouse jazzercise! The Nickelodeon Guts and Double Dare themes! The A Current Affair sound! More audio nonsense, MORE!
Yes! Yes!!! I would love to hear the T-Dar farty soundboard come back in force. Hmmmmmm...Maybe we could do a little wrap up for VGA, then come back with a reboot and call it
T-DarMageddon. It sticks with the apocalypse theme with a biblical twist "armageddon". "Yeah, yeah that's the ticket!"
QOTW: Honestly, whatever format and additions keep you guys happy and engaged. It makes me happy just to hear you guys on the podcast enjoying yourselves.
I would also add more skits but wouldn't ask that of Chris. He's always his own harshest critic.
I wish Mikel good luck with his new career and it will definitely feel odd that he’s missing but I’m happy that the show will go on. I’m fine with the hosts experimenting to see if anything new sticks, and Chris has my blessing to use the soundboard, a little, for punctuation!!
I always liked your ranking debate episodes, the best episode of Lasertime was arguing the greatest season of The Simpsons and though I can't find it I know you did a similar episode for the Final Fantasy series, which was great. It works better with more people, varied guests keeps it fresh.
(1/3) Honestly, I’d love to see Matt and Chris steer the show in a direction that keeps their energy and passion alive. I really enjoy when Chris goes on a tangent to share insights from Thirty Twenty Ten. I share in the excitement.
(2/3) And I thought the VGA episode of Welcome to The Thing was a great listen, there was a really nice creative flow.
I’d be all in for a format that allows for real back-and-forth, where each week someone brings a topic to the table and sparks a dynamic conversation.
QotW : @tlfoster.bsky.social already pops up pretty often as a guest but...*Kyle Ren voice* more. Moooore. I need his hot takes, like Mario 64 is overrated, that seem to physically harm Chris.
More Baby Billy sound bites, more TL, more Bruce Wayne Brady, and for the permanent name of the studio to be the Mikel Reparez Memorial Studio of the airwaves.
QotW: More raccoons!!! In all seriousness, maybe crowd source the top 5 a little bit?
I'll start, top 5 Raccoons in Videogames:
5. Tom Nook
4. Rocket Raccoon - Guardians of the Galaxy
3. Sly Cooper - Sly Cooper
2. Howard Lotor - Backbone
1. BK from Donut County
We will miss you Mikel!
If the top 5 is to much of a research burden, I still say keep the theme topic, but everyone brings a game option to the discussion table. No need to worry about ranking. I just want banter.
QOTW: I'd like to hear about what games you folks are playing. Maybe 8-10 minutes for each of the hosts to just wax lyrical about what is occupying or obsessing them at the moment. I know you talk a lot about new releases when you play them but surely most games last longer than a week.
QOTW: The Top 5, is great because it gives forgotten or overlooked games a chance to shine, but it takes a lot of time to give each game its due. Maybe change it so each host brings two notable or obscure entries for a theme and rotate presenting them? Play PeeWee's secret word bell for duplicates.
I also love a surprise rotating 4th seat! I know scheduling is tough between day jobs and family life, so I understand the struggle. Of course I miss some of the classic hosts, but the recent guests have been a blast, presenting perspectives I didn't know about.

And new squirrel commercials.
Lol. I know you won't have time....but we demand it.
Janet!
I am branded by Simon and the chipmunks or the angry squirrel who rants about Carbs and Apples...
Ty for all the entertainment and spit takes. Got me at least once this episode.
And when you're done recording and editing every week, don't forget to:
