NEVER TRUMPER YOU KEEP THAT HEAD UP WE HAVE TO FIGHT........ITS ALL WE HAVE LEFT IS TO FIGHT UNITL THAT DAY THAT DAY WE ALL ARE NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO JAN 20 WE HAVE TO FIGHT
EXACTLY.
Anyone else notice the sudden “sales”?
Stores like The Container Store are dumping merchandise so they can get out while we still have money to spend.
Bankruptcy attorneys going to be mighty busy next year.
Aftually less,as these stores gather stock and try to avoid shipping issues they pay to stock and store and all prices will rise. So they will markup and then mark down but compensate. So from price gouging to preliminary tarrif expectations. As long as we know this we will be better off.
Personally I don't think the wealthy 1% who are really pulling the strings are going to allow Trump to do that. If he crashes the economy that hard it'll hurt billionaires too and they'd probably lobby Congress to rein in the President or they'll pull their "donations" to Congress.
Soybean farmers will need billions to let crops rot in fields! No workers and no buyers! China is buying less already! Will get from other countries like last Tariffs.
Let it be known, that before Miriam Webster was bought out by a corporation, that fascism had its original sub definition of “corporatism.” They swiftly deleted this definition after the buyout.
Ah, heck. Didn’t even occur to me that coffee would be affected. And just after I splurged on an espresso machine and grinder (to “save money in the long run”, totally) too 😭 thanks for the reality check, will have to buy some extra bags
I'm gonna snag some cinnamon canisters when I get my next paycheck. Gotta stock up for at least a while. I'm looking at a fair trade seller for some cocoa powder, too, and I'm trying to find a good seller for vanilla beans. Extract made from vodka and beans can last for years.
The first thing I did once I snapped out of the election results fog was buy new appliances. Fortunate to be able to do that. My dryer and dishwasher are about as old as me but planned to keep them until they died. Decided to just go for it.
Umm, they know that people in the *receiving* country pay the tariffs, right? They didn't seriously think China would pay extra to sell here? (Oh, wait - this is the Horse Paste crowd. They're boned.)
I'm genuinely planning on stocking up on my skincare and toiletries. Some makeup too. It's expensive as it is. I can't fathom spending hundreds more than I do now omg...
I had my first client mention they are planning to move up their 2025 shipping schedule to cram everything in early due to the election. If all importers have this same plan (they will) this will create severe congestion and we will once again have ships idling offshore 30 deep at various ports.
I hope that the same companies that helped this happen to us lose money this holiday season. I'll be using https://goodsuniteus.com to check everything I buy. No red company will get a dime.
"Oh, look we're having a hard time importing resources now for some unknown reason, guess we'll have to go abroad and "aggressively negotiate" for them

Had new raised prices by .22- .25 cents on each item.
Luck of the incoming holiday price rises?
Profit spike for EOY statements?
Or anticipatory downturn in customer purchasing due to tariffs in Jan?
Stock up, yes. Going to get $$$$.

How do I know? It’s what happened last time Trump tried his ham handed trade wars.
Good one
Pretty sure Black friday is going to be huge because everyone stocking up before big orange fucks it all up.

Serious question.
No need to buy up all of that, please.
But nobody took it seriously.
So here we are.
