I’m just so depressed living here under this regime. I am saddened so many Canadian’s chose the hateful cons instead of the 3 other parties actually trying to make Canada better. Yes the Liberals won, but it was far too close.

If this is what the majority of Albertan’s or Canadian’s want, to destroy our democracy & public good, how do you fight that? I am dismayed by the sweeping blue across Alberta & Saskatchewan. There could not have been more warning signs & yet people seem to want chaos & corruption. 😭

I think people don’t understand what’s at stake. They’re thinking small; less taxes. More money in their pockets. But this will inevitably cost them WAY more money when instead of fair taxes, they’re charged the same for health care, education etc regardless of income disparities. Disinformation too

I’m hoping Carney has some solutions. I’m also thinking we need to start non partisan groups. And Charlie Angus has a good article about candidates needing to build relationships early. Way ahead of the elections, and talk to people instead of just quick door knocking. I don’t know.

Maybe groups to counter the take back Alberta and Alberta separatist groups. Kind and tolerant groups instead of hate and greed. It’s depressing - especially with the constant bs from the UCP steadily eroding democracy here. But they’re counting on our being overwhelmed.

It really is depressing. There’s such a clear division between hate & tolerance. I’m not really even sure the world can ever come back from this (because this is much bigger than just a Canada problem). I appreciate Charlie Angus, but am upset he has left politics.

They really don’t understand the issues at all. Can they not see and understand that all levels of conservative government cut public institutions so that corporations can run them and profit? Can they not understand that private health care is not beneficial in any capacity?
