congrats to the teamsters

What a huge loss for labor. Democrats had an opportunity to lock in a majority on the NLRB till 2026 ... and Manchin + Sinema just sabotaged them. Now Trump can immediately stack the board with union-loathing conservatives who'll undo four years of progress. www.axios.com/2024/12/11/s...

It's time for a change
What we are is too divided. IQ45 won with old age and old thinking. He won without promising to solve cost of living issues. He won without promising to save Gaza. ETC
He appealed to our demons. And won.
Apropos of nothing do you know why California went from being the home of Reagan and Nixon to being solidly blue? Why everyone thought the Latino vote would turn America blue? Because Unions did the work.

White women post Dobbs destroyed "the female vote", Latinos proved there's no "POC" vote but a black vote with too few of us.
Dems only option moving forward is a class politic that long term makes college/union voters.
Further, you should care about workers’ rights because they’re probably *your* rights
Except the evidence we have shows a majority of their households went for Harris.
But cool to know when the problem demographic is the one you associate with it's okay to delineate by zip code I guess.
January 20, 2025.
Honor MLK&shut down Trump’s big day with a #STAYHOMESTRIKE ➡️Stay home don’t buy or sell anything&don’t watch his inauguration As if‼️
Trump has vowed to sign EOs:
Cutting ACA #SS& fed workers
Deporting US citizens
LETSGO‼️
Biden literally saved their PENSIONS!
And they turned their backs on him and Kamala.
They deserve what they are gonna get now.
I hope the republicans take away from the teamsters what Biden just gave them. Teach them which side their bread is buttered on.
How do you think people get elected
He's one of the most
ineffective Democrats of my lifetime.
He's terrible.
1) tired of people who don’t appreciate and destroy good things - getting good things
2) kind of appreciate the fact that trump won’t be able to say that because of him, unions are doing better than ever. Because of something Dems (at least tried to) pass.
I’m kind of here for this.

It's amazing to me that some journalists think it's ethical to write "Xs are doing Y" headlines without indicating *the proportion* of Xs that are doing Y.

But I’m sure Elon will protect them.

Just catch Repubs down a vote or two.
Fuck the International Association of Fire Fighters.
Fuck New York's Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA)
Fuck all the hospitality workers in Nevada who actually believe that #TraitorTrump will stop taxing their tips.
I have a lot of family members who are or were union workers who are hard MAGA and before that Tea Party, and could never understand their motivation.
The largest Teamsters employers fall under the Railways Act / National Mediation Board and not the NLRA / NLRB. Entirely possible they bless this to poke the AFL-CIO unions in the eye.
We'll see how they like it when Union Banning goes national and they start losing their jobs, losing their pay, and working longer hours for no overtime.
Cheers to getting what you wanted!!
Who paid them off
McCain but are in fact just Joe Lieberman.
Elections have consequences. & division amongst Unions weakens them all.
That endorsement would have resonated with a swath of potential voters who wouldn't vote for a Black Dem woman without "permission."
Those two... "Democrats" are nowhere near strong enough to do this alone.
if the Sean be O’Brien, we’ll all be cryin’
Then they'll blame Democrats for letting it happen. 😑
Shockingly, what the Trump voters wanted had nothing to do with labor rights or economics.
