Brain genius Alex Spiro writes to Judge Ho denying he asked for a quid pro quo on Adams’s behalf, and attaches a letter to Emil Bove that (imo) fairly clearly lays one out.

They are so fucking dumb.
Seems like a judge would need to know what they are refering to.
Why would they even imply, "We want his help and working out a deal is how we can get it"?
"A deal? Who said anything about a deal? We just want the case dismissed so he can help us, and if he doesn't, we'll renew the case. It's part of .... the deal."
Oops.

Beyond the corruption, this seems really sloppy and I'm wondering if this could be something where someone at DOJ (e.g. Bove) would be legally culpable in a normal world.

There’s probably a secret code in there somewhere
I just try to help people who need help.

"Yes, we did the quid pro quo."
