i've always found this odd given that they also have a culture of watching late night talk shows that start around midnight - i only just learned that SNL isn't a saturday evening broadcast as i always assumed, and runs from 2330-0100!
My feet would be permanently cramping at your house. My feet cramp at 20°C and under and I am miserable in the cold. I think it’s my Mediterranean blood that makes me such a wuss with the cold.
I was thinking exactly that. Also she talks about working in 90 minute blocks which the schedule interrupts hourly or more often straight through the day, which is hilarious.
I'm guessing that Dad is running around like a headless chicken, cornflakes and milk stuck to his face, as he sorts out the kids' breakfasts and gets them to school?
Possibly it would be less bad in a dry climate with less air pollution but I live where I live. Realistically it means sometimes we put a fan heater on for an hour before bedtime to warm up the bedroom specifically, since we don't have a thermostat on the heating, just a timer.
You’d like Perth in Australia. Rarely under 17 degrees, always dry and if you live in an outer suburb, negligible smog. Like, I went to LA in 2000 and was shocked that everywhere smelled like a garage. Came back to Perth and smelled the sweet eucalyptusy air and cried.
I’ve put Olay/Oil of Ulan on my face after a shower every day since my gran told me to when I was a teenager. She had the softest skin I have ever felt. I’m 45. I also have time to play with my kids in the morning and mess around with my husband at night. 1/
That’s my advice to people. Moisturise, live your life well and be kind. At least when you eventually age and lose your youthful looks, you’ll have smile lines and good memories in exchange.
