You can think back, or see a show or movie or music and go ohhh that's from the 60's,70's, 80's, 90, and then somewhat after the 2000... everything is sort of a blurry mess...Feels like since the 2000's the distinctive flavors have just sort of disappeared. Thoughts?

As far as music goes, I'm happily stuck in pre2k rock and metal cause American rock IMHO is just not good anymore.
The thing with culture is there's trends everyone agrees with; I'd argue that since 2016, individual tastes destroyed unique cultural unity.
