It’s exactly this. The folks he threatened to deport are a huge percentage of certain industries that most other Americans do not want to work in, for any wage. So inflation will be massive when deportation (or even its threat) hits those industries.

Even beyond that, the Germans did a good job after WW2 in its denazification, punishing those complicit, banning nazi symbolism and Holocaust denials, and overall instilling a culture of shame over those events.
