What’s everyone having for dinner? I’m having a flatbread, topped with hummus, roasted broccoli and lamb meatballs cooked in tomato sauce. Chopped cukes and celery on the side. No booze. Half a chewy choc + hazelnut cookie for pudding.

Finally made the chilli I was supposed to make yesterday. Bought a bag of chillis called Chilli of the Moment in Tesco's. They may be little incendiary bombs.
Roasted green beans, ham croquetas (bought), the last couple of slices of serrano from last night. But first, I weep tears of middle class anguish at having bought the WRONG KIND of Perello olive
Well, strap in...
Duck Fesenjan with Iranian prunes, pomegranate, and walnuts...
(Originating from a mistaken purchase of Iranian prunes which are... not like the prunes I know... and looking for a recipe to use them. And some reduced duck breasts from Tesco)
Pasta - but trying a jar of clam + tomato sauce from Ocado, with pasta and spinach for added greenery. Less 10 mins effort, which is exactly what I need to address extreme hunger and challenging day at work
Might be fruit after. More likely hot cross bun and / or peanut cookie
Well, the ready meal aspect is buying me time to sit in the pub, read a book and explore done new beers, so I do t regret my choices. Plus, asparagus 😍
pasta with the last of my chicken sausage and bean casserole chopped up and bubbled with the pasta. hugely comforting and delicious with a big green salad. still full of the fucking cold but off on hols tomorrow and hoping moroccan sun will sort me out.
Had a swift pint after an hour’s solo stomp along the blustery coast. Now crémant and all the snacks with the boys. Dinner will be smoked haddock from the smokehouse across the road with crushed potatoes, leeks and spring onions. Cherry almond cakes for pud. Red wine.

(if in doubt, more parmesan, though can apply that to most recipes! 😂)
Fridge chocolate later.

But I felt guilty about throwing them away.
Maybe the taste was just unexpected but it wasn't pleasant.
(M&S do really good French prunes. Proper big sweet ones.)
