. @shane.logoff.website is such a great DH coding teacher: you could tell the grad fellows were having fun+learning, overhearing them during sessions—while doing a thing many of the fellows came in nervous about, that can easily feel high stakes & embarrasing, instead laughing and talking excitedly

Praxis Fellows used archival records+code to establish matches between real people at UVA in early 20th-c, + their mentions by just rude/nicknames in student satirical newspaper; differentiated from made-up characters. Latter weaponized racist, ableist, sexist etc. stereotypes; anti-co-education.
