I would fail miserably at not disturbing him - I would be poised and ready in case he needed a cuddle, ear rub, treat, anything I had that I could safely give him really. You can ask my own dog - I suck at leaving dogs alone
I think a new way of classifying dogs should be like tires-
There are all season (dogs that are fine in most temperatures) Winter (dogs that do great in the cold but not great in warm weather) and Summer( love the sunshine, but need a jacket if it drops below 65)
I like to think the dog is contemplating something deep and profound, such as the meaning of life or if he ever will find out just who is the good boy.
